Terms and conditions
Data deletion: A user may delete project data from their library at any time. Deleting a project removes it from the Research Career Narrative Writer backend.
Data storage and privacy: All projects created within Research Career Narrative Writer are stored privately on Base44 servers located in the United States. User data—including inputs, outputs, and account details (name and email address)—is accessible to ResBench solely to operate Research Career Narrative Writer and provide research-related communications. Base44's Privacy and security documentation sets out its security certifications, where data is stored, and how data is used, including the circumstances in which workspace data may be used to train AI models. It is incorporated into these terms and conditions by reference. ResBench does not use user data or prompts to train any AI model, and does not share user data with third parties other than Base44, except as described here. Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy; ResBench does not store users' payment details. Voucher emails are sent to the address supplied at checkout using Base44's email service.
Base44 platform terms: Research Career Narrative Writer is built on and operates within the Base44 platform. Base44's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Responsible Use Policy and Misuse policy apply to your use of Research Career Narrative Writer and are incorporated into these terms and conditions by reference. They are set and maintained by Base44 rather than by ResBench, and Base44 may update them from time to time; the versions current at the time you use Research Career Narrative Writer govern that use.
Governing law: Research Career Narrative Writer's terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions must be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
Intellectual property: ResBench does not claim ownership over any user-supplied data or content. ResBench retains ownership of all intellectual property in Research Career Narrative Writer itself, including the underlying code, system architecture, templates, skeleton sentences, and any proprietary methods or processes used to generate text-based outputs. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use Research Career Narrative Writer solely for the purposes described on the landing page. Users also grant ResBench a limited licence to process their data as necessary for the Research Career Narrative Writer's functionality, without transferring ownership.
Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResBench excludes all liability for any loss, damage, or consequences arising from the use of Research Career Narrative Writer. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits users' rights under applicable Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Use of AI models and third-party governance: Research Career Narrative Writer uses large language models accessed through Base44, which selects the model automatically. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of Research Career Narrative Writer complies with any applicable policies, including the ARC's Policy on Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the ARC's Grants Programs (2023). ResBench takes no responsibility for any non-compliance by users with ARC policies or other institutional and regulatory requirements.
User responsibility: While ResBench implements industry-standard security and privacy measures, users must not submit any commercially sensitive, confidential, or otherwise private information. ResBench disclaims any liability for loss or disclosure of such information.
